The Club

The Club began in its current form in 1988,following the untimely death of the coach of the two Club's founders Lynne Bloxham and Alison Last.
The former Redditch and Bromsgrove Club which ended at this time, established itself as Birmingham Flames.

Slater Hall

The Slater Gymnastics Hall is a high quality regional training facility which is located to the rear of the Munrow Centre, which is part of Birmingham University.
It is fully equipped for high performance gymnastics, including a sprung floor, a tumble run, foam pits, a trampoline and a variety of beams, vaults and bars.

More Information

There are approximately 25 qualified coaches within Birmingham Flames, all of whom are working for the Club in a voluntary capacity, with all Club funds being directed into coach education, hire of facilities and purchase of new essential equipment.

Each year we hold a Club Competition for all recreational gymnasts, and a separate competition for the competition squad. We also offer recreational gymnasts the opportunity to take part in regional Floor and Vault and Novice competitions. Competition squad gymnasts take part in regional and national competitions, the majority of our squad being in either the County or Regional squads.
